New NTS Facility – Guyana, South America Launches

Planning for the new venture began in early 2020 with personnel and equipment arriving in country this past September.

“The planning, build-up and implementation process has been long and tedious with a great deal of effort put forth by many individuals across the company,” said General Manager – North America Harris Hurst. “We are very appreciative of the support we have received from NTS Group and are excited to finally have boots on the ground in Guyana.”

NTSME Internship

NTSME reached out to local Universities to kick off a STEM internship.  5 Successful candidates (in their last year of their bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering) were chosen and completed 4- and 8-weeks placements with NTSME covering all areas – Programming, Planning, Operations, QC, etc. in ‘real world’ scenarios.

IT Infrastructure

NTSME has seamlessly transitioned to new pilot ERP system SAPB1/BEAS. Legacy system will be phased out by end of 2021, with lessons learnt and best practices being documented for implementation in other NTS Facilities as part of the Global Strategy.
